I just wanted to take a few minutes to wish all of you all a very Merry Christmas. It has been a great year for the polygraph profession. We have made great strides in 2011 but the effort must continue. With people like Bruce Robertson, Pam Shaw and James Davis heading the national associations, and people like Janene Gordon and others heading the state associations, how can we go wrong?
Our biggest gains this year have come from our researcher’s. People like Ray Nelson, Mark Handler, Ben Balock, Barry Cushman, Don Kraphol and too many others to mention here. They all deserve your thanks. We are now finally on the scientific path to success.
The hardware and software for polygraph gets better every day and we need to thank the manufacturers for that as well.
2012 will be a tough fight for all of us in trying to gain the support of the government and the scientific community. I think we have the right people in place to do just that but they do need the support of all of us.
If you have not already done so, get active in your state and national associations. Attend a seminar or two.
I almost forgot to mention the rest of you. The people that go to work each day and do the polygraph exams. You get the confessions, you help convict the guilty and exonerate the innocent. You keep the sex offenders in jail and are part of making this a better world. You prevent people from obtaining posisitions of trust that should never be in those positions. And you do it with little or no recognition or thanks. God bless you all!
I hope at this time of year, you will remember our veterans, our local hero’s and the great people in this profession that we have lost this year.
May the New Year find you all safe, happy, healthy and in love.
Ted
PS: Sackett, this came from the heart so don’t give me any of your crap!
